Hey guys. I know that I have been on blog vacation but I have returned. Some of you may wonder what I have been up too...well the answer is simply enjoying my life. Falling in love has made my life so amazing. The peace from all the rumors have been more than wonderful. Tom and I stepped away from the spotlight for a while to focus on "us" and our future. I must apologize, to those who enjoy following my personal life, for the lack of drama. After my train wreck of a relationship with Damian Rios (I must publicly say ChiChi Larue got it all wrong on her blog. There is nothing rare or sweet about him. He is a total loser and liar and is nothing but pure evil), I stopped to evaluate my life. That's when Tom Wolfe came into the picture. This is a man that not only knows how to treat his partner but his heart is the most genuine of anyone that has ever come into my life. I look at Tom everyday and know that he is a sign from my late father. Tom is a gift. Tom is a real man. So together Tom and I have been enjoying the time that we have together. With such a personally tragic year for me I have found laughter again. My heart found it's way back. The smile returned to my face. Peace returned to my life. We all go through parts of life where we think we knew love. I was very wrong before. Very wrong. But I have found it. Tom is something that comes only once in a lifetime. I have learned that life throws major hurdles at us. I almost let those hurdles take me down. I'm very glad that I got up and kept going. Thank you Tom. Thank you for taking a broken man and showing him that real love is never something that you have to question. Thank you for being you.

Now, as for what is in store for the future of Chad Manning. On November 12, 2008 Tom Wolfe and I will have something to say. You should listen up. I promise to my fans that this will put a big grin on your face. The calendar is full. In fact, I had to make sure that I was able to spend the holidays with my family. :)

Over the past few quiet months I have met knew people and found peace. I am charging full steam ahead with the future and I am not afraid of what that may hold. And as for the naysayers and the gossipers, I say this,fix your own house before you ask to enter mine. There is no longer room for the negative. I have done a lot of soul searching since the passing of my father. Losing a parent in such a tragic and sudden way will cause you to stop dead in your tracks. It did just that for me. Allowing my personal life to play out in public was a mistake. Seeing rumors and stories about my personal made me stop and take notice.

Yes, Chad Manning was angry. Yes, Chad Manning still harbors anger about some things. But I have learned that it gets me nowhere. So I have been putting that energy to good use.

As I read back through this posting I realize I may have rambled on a bit. But that is ok by me. I am saying the things that I want to say. And that is how things will be from now on.

Great work is ahead. Great days are ahead. Great laughter and fun are ahead.

I look forward to seeing and hearing from you guys. You make it worthwhile. You are why I am still here.

FYI...look for a new look and feel to ManningSexxx. Time to redesign and reboot.

I just came upon a review of my latest film...Green Door by Mustang Studios. While I must say that I had a great time filming this movie it seems that that may not have translated on camera. The review is tough but honest. Mike gives the most honest and unbiased reviews on the net. I have to admit he is my toughest critic. But I applaud him for telling the truth even if it's a blow to my ego. My goal...to get one helluva review from this guy . Hang on Mike. I am gonna give you the performance you are looking for.

Scene 3: Chad Manning, Beaux Banner and Erik Grant

I’ve mentioned Chad Manning before and quite like him as a person. He seems to have more than his fair share of personal drama in his life, not least the recent death of his father in an automobile accident. As a porn performer though, he’s not always the most stimulating guy to watch in action, but he does what he’s there to do.

I’ve never seen either Beaux Banner or Erik Grant before, although Beaux has appeared on Falcon Str8men, which tells you enough. Annise Parker is about to openly walk in to city hall come November to the title of Madam Mayor. How is this possible from the city that gave us G. Bush, D. Cheney, & Karl Rove? The answer is very simple, hard work and no sense of entitlement. Annise Parker has worked very hard to make Houston the financial success story that it is today. She has uncovered waste and fraud and made sure that it was put back into the city. She has walked the streets of Houston and listened to what people have had to say. She has also spent the last 10 years winning the trust of Houston by sitting on the city Council and being elected to City Controller.

Currently Annise Parker sits high a top all the latest polls. She is also the only female candidate. But something that struck me as interesting is that she has not run as a gay candidate or a female candidate. She has simply run on her record. And by running a campaign for EVERYONE she has set fundraising records and her popularity is unmatched. I am impressed with Annise. I had the honor of meeting her at the Houston pride celebration a few months ago. She as her eye on economic growth and equality for everyone. Isn't it interesting that Houston, considered one of the most conservative cities in the United States, is about to do the unthinkable. Yes, it has national implications. Annise Parker is about to run the city that controls the energy supply to the United States. She is very pro-environment yet at the same time pro-growth. Being a fellow Houstonian, I am proud of my adopted city very making a wise decision.

In the end it's not about what we are. It's about who we are and what we can do. I urge the gay community to take note at how we did this. There are lessons to be learned. Valuable lesson. It takes more than a nice photo, duct tape, and a marker to get into peoples hearts. Annise Parker went door to door. She created a record. She earned trust. She took her message to the streets and lended an ear to those who would speak back. And for her hard work...Houston is about to give her it's highest reward...City Hall and the respect she not only deserves but earned.

Next stop...Austin and the Governors Mansion!

A Sincere Thank You

This posting is directed to the more than 700 fans who sent me their condolences over the past week. As most of you know I received a call last Friday morning from my sister explaining that my dad had been in a car accident. He died on impact.

This has not been an easy time for me. I have fought some public battles in this industry as well as some private. But the one thing that has emerged from this tragedy is a stronger more determined Chad Manning. As of late I had been questioning my talents and will to succeed in this industry. Those thoughts are no longer in question. I will succeed and continue to deliver the wishes of the fans that have offered there support.

I enjoy this industry a lot. I had the best time in this field with Steve Cruz. For the fans that were afraid I would turn my back on the industry you have him to thank for me sticking around. For my critics...you have me to blame. You see I now understand that this is an industry that is driven by the fans. The political stuff that goes on behind the scenes is just silly and so are the people that participate in them.

I have always enjoyed porn. And despite what some will say, I have had great success in the industry. My current Joe Gage film, "Slow Heat in a Texas Town," is the #1 film in the industry at the moment. What an awesome film it is. Joe Gage is nothing short of brilliant.

I think my dad would be proud that I stuck this out. I think my choice in future endeavors would make him smile. He would have been amazed at the words from Steve Cruz on his blog about me. I know I was.

So to my fans, I apologize for my absence at "Purple" in Dallas. But I will see you at the Grabby's in Chicago and The many venues that ensue.

I will also be making an appearance at Gay Days in Orlando. I have several films to be released in the next few months. I am very busy with future filmings over the next few months. I am slowly returning back to my life after the tragedy that just occurred. I learned that our time here is short and we should all have an impact.

For those that bicker and snide, I urge you to enjoy what you have in front of you. Life is good. We should not bring each other down. We are part of a great industry.

I can't wait for the days and months ahead. I can't wait to get back to work and give my fans what they have been asking for. I can't wait to silence my critics.

I was just moved to tears after reading the latest entry on Steve Cruz' latest film, "Green Door." Before I go any further and say anything I have to say this one thing, I LOVE THIS MAN! Chi Chi LaRue said it best at the GAYVN awards last month when she said the models are the ones who bare everything.

It is no secret that I have been bruised up in the industry over the last month. And I am cool with it. Some may think I am a whiner. Others may think I am giving them a bad name. My response, "This blog is about me. Not you!"

After my bruising last month and public apology my heart began to leave the industry. I was beginning to think all the good people were gone. I got to film with Chi Chi Larue which was a dream come true. To here my name mentioned on her VLOG was something that I will never forget. Chi Chi LaRue was excited to finally work with me. It was my honor. I am not that thrilled with the performance that I gave her. Expectations were very high and I don't think I met them. I had some thinking to do.

Several months ago, Steve Cruz contacted me about a movie he was doing with Mustang late in the Spring. He asked if I would take part in it. HELL YEAH! This is STEVE CRUZ! I have been in porn since the end of 2007 and in 2009 my porn dreams came true. I still have a few ( Tony Di Marco and Steven Scarborough), but by the end of April I got to work with 2 legends in the business. Now this is not to take away from any of my time with Titan. I have already said my thanks to them.

Steve Cruz just finished directing "Green Door." Without patting myself on the back, I gave the performance of a lifetime in that scene. I had a blast. I was going through some rough ideas about the business but I pulled it through. I was not going to let Steve Cruz down. I will say this and if it makes anyone in the industry mad so be it...Never have I worked with such a professional as Steve Cruz. I have never felt more comfortable with the casting or the all around set-up. This is just a brief synopsis of why I almost walked away from my career.

By Wednesday morning I was exhausted. I had done nothing but hang close to my hotel and was not up for socializing. I had some serious thinking to do.

After flying back home on Thursday I was greeted by several messages from my agent. God bless him. For the last 3 days he has fielded more questions about me then probably any other model working. "Did he retire?' "Why is the post gone?" He is sick of Chad Manning. I don't blame him. He is awaiting a memo from the Obama Administration to please stop taking all the President's media coverage. LOL. Howard, I throw a HUGE kiss and hug to you.


And to Steve Cruz, my fans have you to thank. Without this film and your talk to me, I would be out the door. The things you said to me made all the difference. I will always hold them dear to my heart and know that there is good in this industry. That we can make good porn and not hurt each other by mindless and stupid threats. You made me understand that I was doing good.
I just want to say, "Thank You." Never have I enjoyed myself as much as I did on your set.

For the moment this is all I have to say. I have promised the inside Scoop to AVN and I will tell more there.

Hey guys. Could not wait to tell you that next week yours truly will be taking steamy direction from none other than legendary Steve Cruz. This production is being produced by Mustang films. Steve Cruz has always been a favorite of mine. I would hope to someday work side by naked side with him but I am so stoked to be directed by one of the filthiest men in porn.
